The Ithaca Peak Turquoise mine was discovered in 1906. It is located approximately 1/4 mile north of the Kingman Turquoise mine and 14 miles northwest of Kingman, Arizona. As with most turquoise mines, this is a copper mine and turquoise is a secondary mineral. Some of the stone has a very rare "Birds Eye" pattern.
